Donna Jean Crotty

Crotty, Donna J. OREGON–Donna J. Crotty, age 77, of Oregon, passed away on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on June 27, 1937, in Madison, the daughter of Joseph and Matilda Corcoran. Donna attended school in Madison. After high school, she married Dale Crotty on Sept. 3, 1956, and the couple moved to Oregon where she was employed at Bank of Oregon, Valley Bank. Donna and Dale enjoyed getting together with the Peterson’s, Lawry’s and Hagemann’s to “play cards” monthly. She enjoyed the Corcoran family gatherings, especially Christmas and spending time at the cottage. Donna was an incredible caregiver during Dale’s battle with cancer. The two greatest joys in her life were her grandchildren. Donna is survived by her son, David (Cindy) Crotty of Oregon; daughter, Diane (Scott) Nelson of Fitchburg; granddaughter, Brooke (Aaron) Elenbaum of Troutman, N.C.; grandson, Zach Nelson of Oregon; brother, Ken Corcoran of Oshkosh; sister-in-law, Patty Corcoran of Neenah; and many nieces and nephews who will all miss Aunt Donna Jean’s goulash. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale in July of 2000; two brothers, Grant and Dean; sister, Verna Taylor; sisters-in-law, Addie Corcoran and Barb Corcoran; and brother-in-law, Jim Taylor. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, with Father Gary Wankerl presiding. Burial will be at Prairie Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, and again from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare, whom we are forever thankful for the great care they took of both our mother and father. The family would also like to thank her caregivers at Sienna Meadows and Willow Point for the love and care given to Donna. Mom, you weren’t just the best mom…you were my best friend.
