Todd and I were in elementary school together, junior high school (aka middle school), and high school, where we both graduated from LaFollette's Class of 1975. We were in the same class in 6th grade, with Mr Pease. I've put the photo of our class in the album here on this site. I went into the USMC before we even graduated, and didn't come home until 5 years later. It wasn't long before I looked up Todd, and eventually found him flying for a construction company, and often staying at his apartment in Hudson, Wisconsin. I flew with Todd took out to Montana on several occasions, and once we went out to Buffalo, and were able to go to Toronto (where we stayed overnight, my first time in Canada, when you did not need a passport) and then back home through a small international airport in Michigan. He was a very positive and upbeat person, as I knew him, and I regretted how we lost touch as I went to university, and had to keep my nose to the books. My heart goes out to Sharon and Todd's parents. Also to LeAnn, who doubtless would be related to me, as my mother was an Endres. That's one big family. My thoughts are with you all as you suffer from this loss. Michael Howe Madison, Wisconsin

My deepest sympathy to the Newel family. We grew up in the same neighborhood. Growing up he lived on Richard St and we lived on Sussex La. Our backyards met each other . Todd was a nice kid . I will be praying for strength to get through these days . Jan Hanson McMullen

My sincere condolences to Todd's family. I was a schoolmate of Todd's through elementary, middle, and high school, also graduating from LaFollette in 1975. I remember sleepovers, camp outs, and lots of fun as kids. Although I left Madison soon after high school graduation there isn't a day that goes by that I don't have a fond memory of my childhood friends. Todd and the Newell family were simply the nicest people a young boy could know. I am honored to have known Todd as a school friend. God bless you all. Joe Jones Jr. Orlando, FL

Todd and I were in Real Estate Classes together, and worked out at the Princeton Club.. I am in shock and sadness with his sudden and young passing. However Todd was a man of faith and was not ashamed of the Gospel that saves us from our sin. For that I was most proud of him. Prayers for his family and friends. Mary Kelly
