Jerry Scott Stanford

Stanford, Jerry S. BARABOO–Jerry S. Stanford, age 78, of Baraboo, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at UW Hospital. He was born on Aug. 24, 1936, in Evansville, the son of Hubert and Joyce (Dell) Stanford. He married Sandra Lewis on June 1, 1977. Jerry loved fishing, the Packers and Badgers, animals, and especially his grandchildren and dog. He was a Marine Corp vet, serving in the Korean War. Jerry was employed as a security guard for a number of years. Jerry is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Dawn Stanford, Liberty Stanford, Desiree Stanford, Linda Muchow, Chuck Stanford, and Glen Stanford; seven grandchildren, Sabrina, Judy, Brianna, Hunter, Toby, Savannah, and Damien; and sisters, Martha (Roger) Frederick and Carolyn Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Brenda Stanford; and brother, Michael Stanford. A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015.
