Obituary
MADISON–Debra J. Dix, age 62, of Madison, passed away at home, peacefully, in her sleep on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015. She was born on Dec. 19, 1952, in Madison, the daughter of Clarence and Doloris (Ott) Dix. Debra graduated from Monona Grove High School and Lakeland College. She was a member of the Eagles. Debra was an animal lover, and was especially fond of cats. Her family was extremely important to her. Debra struggled her whole life with physical disabilities, yet her strong will helped her maintain her independence. Debra is survived by her brother, Gerry (Sinita) Dix of Caledonia Minn.; sister, Luan Mitchell of Silver City, N.M.; two nieces, Andrea Dockstader and Kelly (Paul) Karl; three great-nieces; and one great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015. A private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Goodwill. I am very sorry for your loss. Enduring trying times can be very difficult. God's promises recorded at (Revelation 21:4 & Acts 24:15) shows soon that "death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore". I have only met Deb's father when he is living ,but I know that family was very important to Deb. I am sorry to hear about the loss of this very joyful, kind and loving family member. She will be missed. but always be remembered.
