Dorothy was the secretary for the Associate Degree Nursing Program at MATC. I worked with her there from 1975 until she retired. Her work was always professional. It was done in a timely manner and sometimes even correcting my errors. She was always pleasant and never complained, always doing more that her share of the work. She was fiercely independent. She did not engage in backbiting or gossip . She helped make the Nursing program stand out. I feel grateful to have known her and worked with her and shared some times with her after retirement. I knew Dorothy when she was active in The Salvation Army in Chicago during the 1960's . She was a good friend and a very dedicated worker in whatever she did. I can see her smile today and almost hear her voice, always moving and talking fast. We kept contact over the years when I lived in Sweden but not the last few years after returning to the United States. I have thought of her often and just by chance saw the notice of her death. She was special and I'm happy to have known her. My condolences to her family. Lois Maltby Fride

Dorothy was my neighbor on Pawling St for 7 years. She lived upstairs. She was such a sweetheart and stayed in touch when I moved to Manitowoc. Every Christmas she would give me home made cookies. I can still see them in my minds eye. I am very sad that she is forever gone, but she is at peace and out of pain now. I love you Dorothy! Now you can meet my Mama. My condolences to her family.
