Obituary

CLEMENS, ROGER J LODI—Roger J. Clemens, age 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 with family members by his side. He was born on March 27, 1931 in Dane, Wisconsin the son of Allie and Tillie (Wipperfurth) Clemens. Roger married Gloria Pribbenow on April 26, 1952 in Fort Hood, Texas. Roger served as a member of the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a Plumber by Benjamin Plumbing and Heating of Madison. Roger was an avid Packer fan acting as an "assistant coach" on football Sundays. Roger is survived by Gloria his wife of 63 years; three sons, Mike, Bill and Jim; two grandchildren, Brandon and Jason Clemens; three great grandchildren, Josi, Rylan and Ashton; brother, Donald (Ginny) Clemens; sister, Madelyn (Raymond) Dorn and sister-in-law, Lucille (Floyd) Clemens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Eleanor (Elmer) Niesen and brother, Floyd Clemens. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at BLESSED TRINITY CATHOLIC PARISH; AT ST. PATRICK’S CHURCH, 521 Fair St., Lodi, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014. Reverend Father Chad M. Droessler will preside. Burial with Military Honors will be conducted by Lodi Legion Post #216 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be at HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 157 S. Main St., Lodi, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, and at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
