Donna Meier

Meier, Donna L. MADISON-Donna L. Meier, age 82, passed away on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, in Madison. She was born on Sept. 16, 1932, in Madison, the daughter of Elmer and Gladys (Clemans) Beale. Donna graduated from Madison West High School in 1950. She married Richard F. Meier on Sept. 13, 1952, and together they had four children. Donna was a sports enthusiast. She had a heart of gold and selfless nature. She would do anything for anyone and she dedicated her life to her family. Donna worked two jobs for many years. She was employed with the VA Hospital for over 26 years and was proud to be the Town of Madison Clerk for over 33 years. Donna is survived by her former husband, Richard; daughters, Karen (Russ) Wealti and Janice Meier (David Hook); sons, Dale (Sandra) Meier and Craig Meier (Tammy Byrne); nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Elmer (Emily) Beale; and sisters, Lorraine Henning, JoAnne Bruce, and Roberta (Doug) Christenson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Genevieve Sanders. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Rd., Fitchburg, at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, with Pastor Alex Thornburg presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
