Gordy was a smart man because he hired me when I first started with MMSD :>) Who knows where I'd be today if it wasn't for Gordy. He was such a fun, spirited man who always made me laugh. I've thought about him over the years after his retirement and always hoped he was doing well. He will be missed. I will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers. Richerra Zimmerman

Kathy - I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your husband, Gordy. My prayers and thoughts are with you and the family as you progress thru the stages of grief. Gordy had a very fulfilling life and his passing should not be mourned but, rather, celebrated. He left behind many happy memories and those will reside in everyone's hearts forever.

Such a great guy. I'm so grateful for the many ways our paths continued to cross and for the phone conversations during the past months. So many good memories from the old neighborhood where his mother and my grandmother were dear friends, to our years working together at MMSD and then when he would drive homeless students in his taxi to the schools where I worked. The kids loved him and his kind manner and humor. Our sympathies to Kathy and all his family. Fondly, Janet Wells
