Clarice Pauline Gluth

GLUTH, CLARICE P. LODI-Clarice Gluth 91 died peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Our House Senior Living in Lodi. She was born January 12, 1923 on the Padley home farm in Dane County, the daughter of Harry and Hilda (Herschleb) Padley. Clarice attended Crystal Lake Country School and graduated from Lodi High School in 1941. She attended Columbia County Teachers College in Columbus and taught at the Gibraltar School for two years. On June 30, 1945 she married Wallace Gluth and they lived and farmed together for 62 years. Clarice was a member of the Lake Wisconsin Evangelical Free Church. Her faith and love for the Lord was with her until the end. Even now in our sorrow her faith continues to be comforting and a blessing to us all. Be faithful until death and I will give you the crown of life Revelation 2:10 Clarice is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Jack) Berry; two grandsons, Randy (Shelley) and Chris (Kelly) Berry; five great grandchildren, Ryan, Derek, Madison, Carter and Miranda Berry; two sisters-in-law, Caryl and Ellen Padley; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wallace; five brothers, Marvin, Wallace, Harland, Ralph and Don; two sisters-in-law, Arlene and Audrey Padley. Funeral Services will be held at LAKE WISCONSIN EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, N1640 Ryan Road, Lodi, at 1:30 pm, Monday, December 15, 2014 with Pastor Scott Larson presiding. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014, from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Lake Wisconsin Evangelical Free Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
