Waunita Kitelinger

Kitelinger, Waunita, L. (Millard) MADISON-Waunita L. Kitelinger, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born April 21, 1943, in Madison, the daughter of Jay and Leona (McCann) Millard. Waunita married Lavern Kitelinger on Oct. 15, 1966. She spent her career working at Swiss Colony and Walgreens at the East Washington Shopping Center until 2004. Waunita is survived by her three daughters, Dawn (David) Warner, Linda (Micheal) Kitelinger and Carol (Michael) Kitelinger; two granddaughters, Chelsey Warner and Marissa Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Aiyana; and sister, Carla Minter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1997; and sister, Mary (Jerry) Nelson. Waunita was a loving mother, wife, sister, and friend. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
