William Sterling Harris, Jr.

Harris, William Sterling Jr. MADISON –William Sterling Harris Jr., passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014. He was born on Oct. 22, 1929, in Smith County Tenn. William was a member of the U.S. Army and served in Korea. He married Goldyn Lorraine Kruger on Sept. 30, 1953. William worked at Wheeling Pittsburg Steel for 40 years. His passion was gardening and he enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. William was a great father and he loved his family. He is survived by his children, David (Lucy), Kathryn Harris, Elizabeth (David) Volkmann, William, and Michael; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
