Doris I Millin

MADISON- Doris I. Millin, age 94, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at Covenant Oaks at Oakwood Village West in Madison. She was born in Illinois, the daughter of Jennie and Arthur Whiting and graduated from McHenry High School. In 1940, Doris married Lewis Millin and they spent most of their life in rural Woodstock, Ill. Doris enjoyed gardening, quilting, crafting and painting. She is survived by three children, Linda (Michael) Orr of Monona, Ted (Carol) Millin of Mahomet, Ill., and Diane Wheeler of Princeton, Ill.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers and sisters; her husband, Lewis in 1997; and a son, Thomas in 2008. Burial will take place in Woodstock, Ill., in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakwood Foundation through Oakwoodvillage.net or to a charity of your choice.
