Obituary

Koch, Kenneth James MADISON/FALL RIVER-Kenneth J Koch, age 50, of Fall River Wis., died on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, in Beaver Dam, after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was born in Madison, to Donald and Mary Lou Koch. He graduated from La Follette High School in 1982 and graduated from Madison College in Police Science. He worked as a district manager in the food service industry for many years. Ken loved spending time with his children, attending their sporting events, fishing and going on their yearly camping trip together. He also enjoyed football, especially the Badgers and the Packers. He is survived by his children, Cassandra and Zachary; his sisters and brother, Susan (Robert) Aylesworth, Karen Koch, Donald Koch, and Cathy (Mike) Perry; his nieces and nephews and their families; and his former wife, Julie. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Robert; and his sister-in-law, Judy Koch. Ken’s family would like to thank Dr. Longo and the nurses and staff of B6-6 at University Hospital for their wonderful care of Ken during his illness. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr, Madison at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m., until the time of the service on Saturday. Following the service there will be a gathering at Country Corners (Hope Tavern). In lieu of flowers any donations will be used for his children’s education. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com. I graduated from lafollette with Ken and remember his kindness and laughter. Rest in peace Ken.

I heard that Ken was sick but guess I didn't know how bad it really was, so this comes to me as a real shock!! I'm so sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to the family. May he suffer no more and rest in peace my friend. My sympathies to the family, especially his children. God Bless....

I am glad I was able to be with him the last 2 weekends. With a heavy heat I say good-bye to one of my friends.
