Obituary
STRANDER, DARLENE A “DAR”
LODI-For those who lives were touched by Darlene we know we’ll never be the same.
Surrounded at home by many that loved her and holding her husband’s hand in a peaceful stillness, Dar took her last steps home on the afternoon of December 7, 2014.
Darlene Ann “Dar” Strander was born on May 7, 1943 and lived in the Madison area for most of her young life. She was married to Dean A. Strander on December 6, 1985. Dean and Dar were partners in marriage for 29 years and partners in the business, Strander’s Sanitary Service.
Those who will miss her most are her husband, Dean; their puppy, Brody; her daughter’s, Rita (Shane) Burdine and Faith (Mike) Gladem; stepdaughter, Angie Strander; stepson, Chad Strander; grandkids, Nicole Burdine, Nathan Waldsmith, Nina (Tom) McConnell, Aaron Burdine, Brianna Strander, Luke , Grace and Magdalen Gladem; her precious great-grandbabies and all of her many very special friends.
Those who have gone on before Dar are her parents, Jim and Jean (Conroy) McCloskey and her daughter, Amy Caravello.
Dar loved God, her husband and family, music, life, laughter, her beautiful home in Florida and loved, loved, loved the Da Packers.
Dar has moved through life – through seasons of hardship and loss, seasons of joy and peace, seasons of sickness….carrying herself always with grace and love and strength and her ever-present gift of humor. Laughter is most definitely the best medicine.
Please feel free to wear your Packers garb to Dar’s visitation and service…as she will be wearing hers!
Funeral Services will be held at DEKORRA LUTHERAN CHURCH, N3099 Smith Road, Poynette, at 11:00am, on Friday, December 12, 2014 with Reverend Ryan Rouse and Pastor Scott Dadam presiding. Visitation will be held at DEKORRA LUTHERAN CHURCH, N3099 Smith Road, Poynette, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 11, 2014 and again on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the church.
One last note from Dar:
“Heaven surpasses anything I could have hoped for. I have seen my Savior and have rested in his arms. I have regained my youth (and I look pretty damn good, if I do say so myself). I am with my Amy-Oh how I’ve longed to see her again. If you would like to send me a note, please remember to include a scripture verse, recent photo, your social security number, your height, weight and age and credit card with 3 digit code.

We are all very blessed to have known Dar. What a pleasant person to be around! She could keep us on our toes with association ideas and problems as they arose. We always had a good time at all the conventions and trade shows, especially when she was in the HOUSE! Rest assured we will see her again! May God grant you peace at this time and always. From your forever friends, Alan & Marilyn Kaddatz

I remember Dar with fond memories from when my Doug was still here and we would motorcycle together. Know she's in a better place. She used to tell me that if he was looking down on me just hope he wasn't seeing me naked. What a great sense of humor she had. Very sorry for your loss.
