Donna Leah Johnson

MADISON-Donna Johnson, age 77, of Madison passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on April 12, 1937, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Roland and Christina (Nickel) Roth. Donna married Duane Johnson on Oct. 7, 1960 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She attended and graduated from East High School in Madison. She worked for 30 plus years in the commercial laundry business at F.W. Means and Aramark and was a longtime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Donna enjoyed camping, traveling, crafts, cross-stitching, and playing games with friends, but her most enjoyable times were spent with her family. She is survived by her husband, Duane; children, John (Nancy) Johnson of Columbus and Kristi Lischka of Buffalo, N.Y.; grandchildren, Jared (Abigail) Zerjav and Katie Zerjav; sister, Barbara (Mike) Knutson; and numerous other relatives and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Barbara Beauchaine in 2013. Funeral services will be held at OAKWOOD VILLAGE EAST TREE OF LIFE CHAPEL, 5565 Tancho Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, with the Rev. Bernt Tweit officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the Tree of Life Chapel from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Oakwood Village East.
