Clementine Gbae

Clementine Gbaé was born on November 3rd, 1960 in Soumayé in Côte d’Ivoire, to Victor and Gbema Koulaouin. God graciously called Clementine to Heaven on November 28, 2014 at Agrace Hospice Center in Madison, Wisconsin after a year- long battle with cancer. She was receded in death by her sister, Susanne Fahé, and her parents. Clementine was a teacher in Côte d’Ivoire. She moved to the United States in 1994, where she lived in Washington state before moving to Madison, Wisconsin in the late 1990s. There, she worked at Oscar Mayer and enjoyed a loving community of family and friends. She had a strong religious faith and went to Evangel Life Center and its affiliated French Church. Clementine was a generous and giving person. She was a selfless person, putting others’ needs before her own up until she departed from this world. She was a loving mother, devoted wife and great friend. She had the most generous and loving heart. She touched many lives with her presence. Her family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life. Clementine enjoyed spending time with her children, her friends, and praising the Lord. Clementine leaves to cherish her sons: Hugues Armand and friend Falonne, Sosthène Marius and fiancée Mary Yor, Camille Bacia and partner Elizabeth “Gbêma/Bitsy,” and Frank Stephane. She also leaves behind stepchildren Marjolaine, Danielle, and Serge; and grandchildren Yann Ixel and Camus. Each has their special memories of her, but all recall a caring, selfless, genuine, incredible, strong, and loving mother. Her beautiful spirit will not soon be forgotten.
