It was my pleasure to get to know and love Lois through her daughter, Mary Sue. She was a vibrant and interesting (and interested) person who had a smile for everyone. I will miss Lois and George but am richer for having known them. Godspeed, Lois and my love to her family. Wendy Hecht

We were always excited when Lois and George's daughter, Chris, would tell the Seth Paine School Staff that her parents were coming to visit her 2nd grade classroom. They so easily engaged in conversation with all of us. I recall a day when they came to watch a play put on by her students. They clearly were delighted by the performance and were just as proud of their director-daugher as the other parents were of their actor-children. Jennie

Lois and I became good friends when we moved to Florida and lived next door to each other for several winters. She was always a delight no matter what health issues she was facing. I am very happy that I was able to visit her once more in Wisconsin a few months before her passing.

Lois are George were dear to me and my family for many years. They were lovebirds for their whole life together. Lois and George loved each other, their children, grandchildren,great-grandchildren and the friends connected to them. Lois was a great culinary master. She cooked with love and ingenuity (baking bread in coffee cans;). When I was pregnant 32 years ago and craved lemon meringue pie- she made me the best one ever! Love and sympathy to all the Headley's. The Niles Family
