Probst, James R. “Jim”
FALL RIVER/MADISON-James R. “Jim” Probst, age 52, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014. He was born on May 29, 1962, the son of Al and Virginia (Parvin) Probst. He graduated from La Follette High School in Madison. Jim worked for the Sheet Metal Local Union No. 18 since 1994. He was a “Mr. Fix-it” and also loved to be outdoors enjoying his Harley Davidson, 4-wheeler and snowmobile. On Sundays he could be found sitting in front of his T.V. watching his beloved Packers. The most special of times he spent with his life partner, Cindy and his loving daughter, Nicole. Jim is survived by his parents; daughter, Nicole Probst; life partner, Cindy; sister, Wendy (Mark) Papenfuss; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sherri Lewis. Funeral Services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at Noon, on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, with the Rev. Sandra Schieble presiding. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Jim Probst Fund at Fall River or Columbus Farmers and Merchants Union Bank. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

You were a man of many words and you never held back on the way you felt about something, whether we wanted to hear it or not, but that's what we loved about you cuz we always knew where we stood with you. You left us too early my friend, just when you finally found the love of your life and have a beautiful lil daughter, but God must of had another plan for you. Jim you left us way too early. The world will not be the same without you. You were always in my corner and I always new if I needed anything you were there. Your friendship meant so very much to me. I never laughed harder than with you. You always gave me your advice or shared a similar experience of something I was going through. I miss you and loved you always. I am so sorry Cindy and Nicky for your loss of such a wonderful person Jim was to both of you and everyone he knew or met.
