Larrabee, Thomas G.
Thomas Gary Larrabee, age 57, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on June 17, 1957, in Waterloo, Wis., the son of Norman and May (Hanson) Larrabee. He married his high school sweetheart Paula Kjorlie on June 28, 1980. He was a proud member of laborers union 464 for over 35 years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and boater who enjoyed spending time with Paula and family at their cabin. He could usually be seen around town with his faithful companion, Abby. May you have the biggest shake of the day in heaven Sprout. He is survived by his wife, Paula; sons Gary (Nikita) and Michael; daughter, Melissa; brothers, Jim (Donna) Larrabee, John (Karla) Larrabee; sister, Christine Ness; sisters-in-law, Patty (Larry) Zastrow, Mary (Fred) Hohlstein, Pam (Richard) Onstad; brothers-in-law, Bill (Laurie) Kjorlie, Brian (Jennifer) Kjorlie; mother-in-law, Rita Preuss; special aunt Betty Rappe; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and May Larrabee; brothers, Norman (Larry) Larrabee, Richard Larrabee; father-in-law, Jerry Kjorlie; and nephew, Kyle Kjorlie. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at the HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 157 S. Main St, Lodi, at 12 Noon. Burial will be at Garden Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Tommy. I have so many great memories growing up around Okey Lodge and down around the boat house. I can remember, Tommy used to get the short end of the stick on projects that needed to be done. He was the youngest and the smallest lol. It was all in fun!
The Larrabee's were like a second family to me and I can never forget all the good times growing up around them. My best to all, God bless.
