Robert Joseph Woodstock

Woodstock, Robert Joseph STOUGHTON – Robert Joseph Woodstock, age 71, went to be with the Lord after battling several major health issues, on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at the Edgerton Care Center Nursing Home in Edgerton. He was born in Center Township of Rock County, the son of Edith Bratzke Woodstock and Leonard H. Woodstock. Robert graduated from Stoughton High School in 1961. He was a member of the Risen Savior Lutheran Church in McFarland. Robert worked many years and in several different positions at Highway Trailer Co. (Dorsey Trailer) in Edgerton. In 1970, he bought a farm outside of Edgerton where he enjoyed his dogs and hunting. Robert loved to travel and see God’s beautiful country. He visited many western and southern states as well as, Hawaii; but his most memorable trip was to Alaska with his brother, Donald. He will be missed by many along Kensington Square, especially, his long-time neighbors, Barb and Frank Rimmert. Robert will also be missed for his keen knowledge of history and world events and remembered for his loyalty and generosity to others. Robert is survived by his sister; Marlene Lund of Branson, Mo.; brothers, Russell of Richland Center, Allen of Janesville, John of Fitchburg, and Donald of Huntsville, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents; and brothers Howard and Leonard Owen. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, 1358 Highway 51 N. at Jackson St., Stoughton, at 2 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, with Pastor Joshua Janke presiding. Burial will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery in Evansville. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
