Dear Ed and the Lustgraaf family: I send my deepest sympathies on the passing of your wife and mother. Gladys was my piano teacher for four years in Great Falls, Montana. I have many fond memories of my lessons at the piano in the window of the house in Great Falls. Saturdays were special days for me and my sister in her studio. I also remember many recitals in your living room there. After high school with Gladys, I majored in music at the University of Montana and continued for my doctorate in NYC. I saw Gladys in Madison, WI, at a piano teachers' conference where I was speaking. We had a great time reminiscing, and I am sorry that we lost contact after that visit. She certainly had an impact on my musical life! Please know that she touched many in her long life. I send many thoughts and prayers for each of you. Sincerely, Dr. J. Dear Edward, Sorry to hear about the loss of your dear wife. She suffered for so many years. As much as you hate to lose her, she is with our dear Lord. I go back many years to St Bernard’s. You may still remember when we had the police come when we went to make coffee early morning at the school. I can’t do that anymore because I, too, am homebound and with a walker. Other people and my family take me to Mass on Sunday when my health and the weather cooperate. I think of the happy times with you and Gladys and remember when you celebrated your anniversary. I was able to come. Glady is at peace now and I know your family will take care of you as they did your wife. Love to all of the family. I will think of you often and pray. My strength is not good but I can pray. God Bless You, May Kast at Chamomile 1 A

God has given her a long life filled with much suffering. But one thing I never heard her do is complain, like her mom and dad, Gladys believed God had a plan. One of them was her loving children and husband. God bless you all at this time . We know she is smiling down and offering all of us her blessings. Cousins Jerry and Sharon Slezak and family.
