Obituary
Good, Lyle G.
MADISON- On Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, the Good Lord allowed Lyle Good to enjoy his morning coffee and doughnuts with his loving wife. Then he sat down in his favorite chair and read part of the morning paper before taking him Home. He grew up in Madison on Milwaukee Street, where he found the love of his life living right next door. Lyle and Rhoda were married for 64 years. They stayed on the eastside of Madison where he took pride in the homes he built for his family. Lyle enjoyed numbers, which is why he was an accountant and over the years, he took his skills to help many people with their taxes. Lyle was proud to be an Eagle Scout and set the example for his two sons and three grandsons who followed this path. His true passion was the outdoors. Camping and traveling were a big part of his life, which started with a tent and grew to a large motor home. Due to his adventures and interests, he always had a good story to tell. Lyle loved family gatherings and a good dance floor. He will be greatly missed by not just his family, but the many people who he interacted with over his life. Lyle is survived by his wife, Rodessa; children, Tari Howard (Ken Wiesman) of Wausau, Tim (Mary) Good of Tennessee, Tom Good (Jane Nehls) of Watertown, Tracee (Bruce) Ramos of Madison, and Trisha Good (Dave Angell) of Weston; 15 grandchildren, Jason (Lyndsay), Eric (Mizan), Brandon (Meghan), Brian (Alecia), Matt (Rene), Melissa (Josh), David (Qinghua), Taylor, Caleb, Cecilia, Evan, Chad, Chelsee, Chase and Amber; 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way; a brother, Stanley (Doris) Good; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tina; and granddaughter, Alyssa. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at noon, on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dane County Humane Society or Bethel Telecast.
