Lorraine Olson

MADISON/ROCHESTER, MINN.- Lorraine Esther Olson, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, at Golden Living East Care Center in Rochester, Minn. She was born on June 30, 1925, in Madison, the daughter of Henry and Esther (Schaefer) Tiemann. Lorraine was employed with Firstar Bank for 15 years, and retired in 1983. She was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where she volunteered and taught Bible and Sunday school. Lorraine was also an active volunteer at the Pinney Branch Library in Madison. Her favorite love was sewing beautiful doll clothes. Lorraine is survived by her daughters, Karen Michaels of Poynette, Adele Walker of Poynette and Elyse (Jeffrey) Haugen of Mankato, Minn.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wilbur Tiemann; and grandson, Michael Wick. Funeral services will be held at HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2670 Milwaukee St., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, with Rev. Mark Bartels presiding. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
