Neil Harold Shively

Neil Shively

Jackie, Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and family. One our fondest memories of Neil was when we were part of his birthday celebration bus trip to Milwaukee for a ball game. Also spending time with you both in Arizona when we would attend Spring Training games and play golf. Peace Be With You. Duane and Joan Meister

Dear Jackie, It was an honor to know Neil as one of the stellar members of the Capitol Press Corps. in the Dreyfus years and a credit to the Milwaukee Sentinel for his special brand of "Old School" journalism. Also loved sharing stories of favorite golf courses he played and loved. My prayers are with you and your family. Sue Riordan

Neil was truly a fine gentleman who excelled at his chosen craft of journalism. It was an era when journalism really mattered in every aspect of the political process, and a time when independent, thoughtful reporting was treasured. I considered Neil a friend who was a joy to work with, and I want to extend my sympathy to his family for losing this special man. I hope good messages will sustain you!

The Goodman-Armstrong Creek Alumni wishes to send condolences to the Shively family. Neil attended many Homecoming events and it was always good to see him back home in Goodman. He will be missed .
