Obituary
BROWNE, IDA HAZEL
MONONA - Ida Hazel Browne entered into Heaven on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, (13 days after her 93rd birthday). She was born on Sept. 14, 1921. Ida was one of ten children and outlived them all. They were Fred, Frank and Willis Ream; and her sisters, Eunice Zeasmon, Inez Hendrickson, Lou Ellen Minor, Elizabeth Madson, Grace Olsen and Ruby Olsen. It was her hope for a joyous reunion with her family and friends who had placed their lives in God’s hands through believing His Son, Jesus Christ. Ida had requested no memorial service. She was a very humble soul who helped others for as many years as we can remember. Even when she had to sell her home and go into senior housing at Frost Woods, she made many great friends there with her kind and giving ways and wonderful sense of humor. Even though she had to use an electric scooter to get around these last few years, she would get up at 4 a.m. in the morning to deliver the daily newspapers (which were left in the “entry”). She delivered to all three floors! After a while she needed help from one of her friends to put them in her lap. (Now that dear friend has taken her place). Ida knew that her salvation wasn’t a reward for the good things she had done, so she wouldn’t boast about them. But God had shed His love abroad in her heart and she just had to show it by loving others. She was confident of her eternal life in Heaven and is now enjoying the fruit of her faith in His presence with her loved ones who preceded her. She has prayed for each of her friends and family whom she is leaving behind to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, and to receive His love and pass it on to others. She’ll be waiting for you on your glorious “moving day” to Heaven. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

I met Ida when I did some sewing for her. I loved coming to her home & visiting with her. She was such a kind & caring lady. I'll remember her when I make some of her recipes which she shared with me, especially her fruit cake. May you rest in peace, dear friend. Barb Herro
