Evelyn Catherine Zimmerman

CROSS PLAINS-Evelyn C. Zimmerman, age 98, passed away on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014 at Ingleside Manor in Mount Horeb. She was born on Dec. 31, 1915 in Staceyville, IA., the daughter of Hubert and Catherine (Seibert) Juris. In June 1937, she married Edward Zimmerman. Evelyn was preceded in death by her son Roger at nine months; her husband Edward and daughter Susan in the Palm Sunday tornado in Ixonia on April 11, 1965. She is survived by her son, Jon (Rosemary) Zimmerman; her grandchildren, Diane (Mike) Friis, Sheila (Ed) Williams and Chuck (Laura) Zimmerman; her great-grandchildren, Kayla, Nick, Ellie, Josh, Kateri, Virginia, Beatrice, Dane, Cole, Abby and Madelyn; three sisters, Charleen Curtis, Verena Beers, Esther McClain and a sister-in-law, Neddy Juris. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains at 11 AM on Friday, August 8, 2014. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church.
