Minter, Norbert D.
MADISON-Norbert D. Minter, age 75, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on June 26, 1939, in Highland, Wis., the son of Herman and Della (Bomkamp) Minter. Norbert worked for Madison Metro for 20 years and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his sons, Chad (Jenny) Minter and Jeff (Amanda) Minter; grandchildren, Kevin, Zack, Savanah, Alyssa and Grayson Minter; two brothers, Cletus (Annette) Minter and Thomas (Bonnie) Minter; sister, Katherine Effinger; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Sharon Stadele. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 404 East Main St., Madison, at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, with Monsignor Kevin Holmes presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Memorials may be made to Agrace HopsiceCare or Cure Alzheimers Fund. We have known Norb since our daughter, Jenny, married his son., Chad. We could see from the start that he cared a lot about his family and made sure that he stayed connected with his boys and family.
I enjoyed talking with him at family gatherings, specially about the trips he had taken out west.
