When I would see Merlin, I would always referred to him as "The Commissioner" (basketball) and it would bring a wide smile to his face! What a a loyal and caring man. "Smile"; "Have Fun"; "Always Be Thankful To Your Parents"-----Words to live by. John Helf, former Bluebird Basketball Coach

Farewell Merlin . . . always upbeat, always interested in people, always supporting kids and their participation in sports. Altho his "legacy" is noted to be the Speedway Bluebirds BB Program, more significant to many is the legacy of "nice" that he passed on to his kids. RIP, Coach!

Merlin was an awesome Father In-law. He welcomed me into the family with open arms and always had a smile on his face. I'll miss our visits...RIP
