Obituary
Lansing, Brian R.
MADISON–Brian Robert Lansing, age 58, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, just outside Madison. He was born on Dec. 22, 1955, in Madison, to Robert L. Lansing and Lucille M. Lansing. A lifelong resident of Wisconsin, Brian loved his friends, music, gardening and Wisconsin sports teams, especially the Brewers, Badgers and Packers. He was a longtime bartender in Madison, working for many years at the Hotel Washington until it was destroyed by fire, and most recently at The Concourse. Brian formed many great relationships with both his coworkers and his patrons. His last days were spent preparing for a bicycle trip for a gardening outing with his friend, Bill Brodd. He was doing what he loved best in Madison, the city that was his home. Brian is survived by his parents, Robert and Lucille; his sister, Louise Lansing Quevillon (Randy); his nephews and niece, Josh, Paul and Heather Quevillon; and his many friends. A Memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014. To the family of Brian...I am so sorry for your loss...I have been a good friend of his for thirty years and loved him dearly. He was such a good friend and I can't imagine him not being in my life anymore. I grieve his loss with you and pray that time will ease this terrible hurt. I added a picture of me, my mom, and Brian.

To Brian's family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have not seen Brian for several years but when I did see him on a more regular basis, he always impressed me with his gentle personality. Gone too soon.

To Brians's family, and friends.
So sorry for your loss. Brian was a good friend of mine for over 25 yrs. He made me laugh. He was fun, generous, attentive, and just one of us. I have so many memories of him, his animals, his wit. We shared birthday's together and so many other things. I have lived in NJ since 1999, but go to Madison almost every year and saw him when I could. It will not be the same without him.
