Janice Kay Kortman

GRAND MARSH/LODI-Janice K. Kortman, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 30, 2014. She was born on June 22, 1946, in Madison, the daughter of Erich and Dorothy (Garner) Schellin. Janice was united in marriage to Robert Kortman on Jan. 11, 1964 in Johnson Creek. Janice had a variety of interest including Bingo and playing cards, but she truly treasured most the time she spent with her family, especially with her great-granddaughters, Laina and Lilyanna. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert Kortman; four children, Kay (Donald) Aiken, Kim (Alan) Adler, Kelly Hewitt, Jim Kortman; eight grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; three siblings, Robert (Audrey) Schellin, Gloria Patridge, Donald (Mary) Schellin and other relatives and many friends. Janice was preceded in death by a brother Gerald Schellin; a sister, Donna Gove; a son-in-law, Jim “Shorty” Hewitt and a brother-in-law Robert Patridge. Funeral Services will be held at DEKORRA LUTHERAN CHURCH, N3099 Smith Road, Poynette at 11 AM on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, with the Rev. Ryan Rouse presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 157 S.
