Obituary
MADISON-John M. Kittel, age 32, of Madison, passed away at home in the early hours of Aug. 8, 2014. He was born in Madison on June 12, 1982, the son of Susan (Ramsfield) and Dan Kittel. He married Valerie Mae (Zelinski) Kittel on Sept. 27, 2011. John worked as a driver and sometimes cook at Echo Tap and Grill, a job he enjoyed because everyone who worked there was also a friend. In fact, John had scores of friends who shared his interests in music, eclectic art, cooking, camping, traveling and the list goes on. He was filled with a curiosity for all things and a gift for mastering whatever he chose (except for tax forms). His wife Valerie, was the love of his life. John was always happiest when they were together. When seen in each other’s company, they both seemed to glow. John was a loving husband, son, brother, grandson and uncle. He was a bright spot in the lives of everyone he touched. John is survived by his wife, Valerie, father and step-mother, Dan and Victoria Kittel; his mother and step-father, Susan Kittel Moore and Ronald Moore; his sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and Scott Kittel-Phillips and their children, Isaiah and Autumn. He Is also survived by his grandmother, Jeanne Kittel; his aunts, uncles, cousins and a large extended family. A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday Aug. 14, 2014, with a time to share memories and stories in celebration of his life at 7 p.m. on Thursday. My deepest sympathy goes out to my daughter Valerie Mae Kittel and to John's mom (Susie & Ron) & dad (Dan & Vicki) and sister Andrea & Sky & kids).....I know the pain of losing your loves one hurts deeply.....it will lessen with time...when he left he took a piece of all of you...it is so sad.....to lose a husband, a son, a brother, son-in-law, nephew, friend...I hope that John is at peace & that you all find peace as well. He will be missed by many!

I'm so sorry, Susie. No words can make it hurt less but hopefully being surrounded by friends and family can soften the edges.

Dearest Val, your family and John's family. My heart is heavy knowing all the sorrow you are going through, I wish I had the words to make this less tragic, but there are none. Your family and friends are here for you, use them if to cry, yell at, for a hug or to just sit with. We all care and are here for you.
