Obituary

MADISON-Beverly Jane Kenworthy, age 89, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Waunakee Manor. She was born on August 15, 1924, on a farm near Viola in Richland County, the daughter of Ernest and Cloe Hill. In 1945, she married Eldon Kenworthy. They lived in the Kickapoo area, including Viroqua and ran a country general store in Ash Ridge, settling in West Lima where they ran a general store for approximately 15 years. She was a longtime member of West Lima Christian Church, where she also taught Sunday school. Beverly relocated to Madison and worked for 13 ½ years at Orchard Hill. She was a longtime member of Westwood Christian Church and was known to be a prayer warrior by all who knew her. Throughout her life she had a deep devotion to her family, friends and her church. Beverly had a reverence for the life and love of her Heavenly Father. She is survived by her children, Ann (Don) Schroeder, Earl (Nancy) Kenworthy; five grandchildren, Amy Lewis, Jeremy (Kristie) Kenworthy, Stacy (Les) Hayes, Ron (Becky) Schroeder, Scott (Michelle) Schroeder; nine great-grandchildren and a sister, Marcellee Farrell. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Marcia Lee Kenworthy; sisters, Violet Blakley, Mary Ann Hill; and brothers, Ernest Junior, Harry and Edmund Hill. Funeral Services will be held at WESTWOOD CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 5210 Odana Road, Madison, at 12 PM on Friday, August 1, 2014, with the Reverend Ken Henes presiding. Burial will be in Viola Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westwood Christian Church. David Dunn (Son of Rilla Miller-Dunn) Bev was such a special lady. Always so sweet and caring to me and my mother. And what a wonderful friend and travel companion she was. My mom and her had many great adventures! I am truly sorry for your loss...
