Klitzman Family, My deepest sympathy. Mary was a treasure, always so good to my mother and our whole family. She was a fixture in the neighborhood and IHM. I have one of those rosaries she made! I was about 8 yr old and saw her working on them and "begged one" from her. She wouldn't give it to me until I could recite the Apostles's Creed, Our Father and Hail Mary. I did, and still have that turquoise rosary. It has helped me thru many of life's challenging times. Your parents were a big part of why our neighborhood was such a great place to grow up. The Staff and Resident Friends at Oak Park Place would like to share our thoughts and prayers to the family. God be with you all at this difficult time. I will always remember her lovely humor. We all loved Mary so much and enjoyed her sharing her life storybook with us. Deepest Sympathy,Julie- Activity Coordinator

I have some wonderful memories of Aunt Mary that I will always cherish. I am so glad that she wrote her memoir. It's such a wonderful keepsake of her and our McKenna heritage. Heaven not only gained a very funny and kind woman this week, but also an amazing woman of grace. I will miss her. Nancy, Pat, and Sue (and your families): I'm praying that the Lord will really touch you with his grace and give you the comfort that passes all understanding. Please know that our hearts are there with you even if our physical bodies are not. Dad feels the loss of his sister quite deeply but just didn't feel up to making the trip. As you know, he is a man of few words and is not very open to showing his emotions but his love for Mary shows all over his face when he talks about her. We love you all! Debbie and Jeff

Nancy, Pat , Sue and the extended Klitzman family, you have our deepest sympathy with your mother's passing. She was a pillar of the church and the neighborhood, always there to step up and be of service when the situation called for it. Always ready for a social gathering in the neighborhood where her easy laughter could be heard throughout the back yards. I was fortunate enough to read her memoir, to know the kind of person she was growing up, and how much she loved her South Dakota roots. She will be missed, but she left us with so many memories and lessons of how to lead a giving life. Love Greg & Shelly Scallon
