Aguanno, Joseph P. “Joe” CHICAGO/MADISON-Joseph P. “Joe”Aguanno, age 61, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Rush Hospital in Chicago, Ill., following a brief illness. He was born on March 28, 1953, in the New York area. Joe moved to Madison when he was 5 years old with his loving parents, Joseph and Grace Aguanno. He graduated from West High School in 1971 and from the University of Wisconsin in 1973. Joe then went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Business from the University of Chicago in 1980. He worked for Gen Re Insurance until he retired in 2008. Joe traveled extensively making new friends around the world. He was an avid reader, loved to bike and golf and especially enjoyed time with family and friends. He was active in his church and generously supported his favorite charities. Joe is survived by his cousins, William (Liza) Garrott, Linda (Craig) Hanson, Patricia (Alan) Hanson, Barbara (Jim) Leslie, Robert (Jane) Garrott and Theresa Sommo. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private funeral services will be held in Kayser, Wis. where Joe will be buried next to his parents. A Celebration of Joe’s life will be held at FOURTH PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, in the Chapel, at 126 E. Chestnut Street, Chicago, IL. 60611, at a time to be determined, on Friday, Aug. 29, 2014.
