Jenson , Avonette E. (Licht)
MADISON/LOGANVILLE-Avonette E. (Licht) Jenson, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. She was born on March 14, 1928 in Madison, the daughter of Albert and Clara (Burmester) Licht. She worked at the U.S. Armed Forces Institute (USAFI) and at the State of Wisconsin until her retirement. Avonette enjoyed cross stitching, hardanger, geneology, was a prolific reader and a very spiritual person. She belonged to Bethel Lutheran Church. Avonette is survived by her cousins, Mildred Hinrichs of Reedsburg, Gilbert Burmester of Loganville, Gordon Burmester of Wisconsin Rapids, Rita Stafford of Madison, Marty Burmester of Jacksonville, Fla., Renee Urban of Wonewoc, Dean Burmester of LaValle and Sally Hilt of Long Beach, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; and former husband, Don Jenson. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary’s Care Center and Meriter Hospital.
