Schwenn, Raymond W.
MADISON-Raymond W. Schwenn, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Agrace HospiceCare surrounded by his family. He was born on Oct. 28, 1929, the son of Albert and Anna (Nelson) Schwenn. Ray graduated from Sun Prairie High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked at the U.S. Post Office and retired after 30 years. Ray was a member of the Midvale Lutheran Church. He was a kind and gentle man. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife of 37 years, Joan Schwenn; children, John (Sandy) Schwenn, Jim (Nora) Schwenn and Jeff Schwenn; step-daughter, Sue Miller; grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Jennifer, Vanessa, Kelsey, Garret and Jamie; two great-grandchildren, Veda and Jasper; sister, Irene Legler; sister-in-law, Carolyn Schwenn; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Art and Al; and sisters, Hazel and Bea. A private memorial service will be held.
