CROSS PLAINS-Thomas J. Nonn, age 58, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at home due to Pancreatic Cancer. He was born on June 6, 1955, the son of Jerome and Rosaline (Maier) Nonn. Tom was a 1973 graduate of Middleton High School. He was united in marriage to Kim Hellenbrand on December 5, 1981, at St. John’s Church, Waunakee. Tom worked for the Carpenters Union for 36 years prior to retiring last July. Tom enjoyed helping others on the farm, raising beef cattle and traveling to Tucson to visit his granddaughter.
Thomas is survived by his wife and best friend, Kim; daughter, Nicole (Evan) Knuese, Tucson, AZ.; son Joshua Nonn, Cross Plains; granddaughter, Ella Knuese; brothers, Stan (Marjorie), James (Judi), Ken (Renee), Gerard (Mary Anne), Dan (Kris), Bob (Jodi), and Steve (Jeanette); mother-in-law, Joanne Hellenbrand; father-in-law, Ronald (Connie) Hellenbrand; brother-in-law, Mitch (Linda) Hellenbrand; sisters-in-law, Kelli (Paul) Hamilton, Kristi (Jim) Amelong, Lisa (Rick) Martin, and Shelli (Jeff) Ellickson and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes Street, Cross Plains from 4 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. A Celebration of Life will be held at Coaches Club, 1200 Main Street, Cross Plains from 6 PM until 9 PM on Thursday, June 12, 2014. A special thank you to the staff at Agrace HospiceCare for their care and support during Tom’s illness. Memorials may be made in Tom’s name to Agrace HospiceCAre, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711.

When I think of Tom, I'll always remember his clever sense of humor, his love for Duck Dynasty, his huge smile, and his love for all those around him. He is already greatly missed and has left a huge impact on my life. I hope you are having a few cold ones up in heaven with all of the other wonderful people who have left us! Tom, I just wanted to let you know that you always inspired me to enjoy each day and have fun. You were always the life of the party with your unendless wisecracks and jokes. You really knew how to enjoy yourself and live life to the fullest. You were my duck dynasty hero. You enjoyed life and that is what it is all about. You had a wonderful wife that you adorned and 2 beautiful kids that made you proud. I will miss you so much. You died too young but I know you are with Mom and Dad and keeping everyone happy in heaven. I will miss your voice and your snickers. God Bless you so much.
