Erik Edward Winders

Winders, Erik E. MADISON-Erik E. Winders’ young life came to a tragic end early Saturday morning on June 28, 2014, at the age of 19. He was attending college at UW-Milwaukee after graduating from La Follette High School with honors. Erik was involved with many sports and activities, but one of his true passions was tennis and he was a four year letterman. He was a loving son, brother and friend who brought a smile to everyone he met. His selflessness and sense of humor gave joy to everyone around him. Erik is survived by his parents, Edward and Lillian “Lee” Winders; his sister, Lisa; grandfather, Abraham Nassar; uncles, Glenn Nassar and Ken (Kathy) Winders; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chuck and Barb Winders and Astrick Nassar. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, July 3, 2014. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of the service and again from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday.
