Luther, Vivian R. MONONA-Vivian R. Luther, age 92, of Monona passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Karmenta Center. She was born on March 17, 1922, in Waterloo, the daughter of Rudolph and Adline (Lobeck) Behring. She married Marvin Luther on March 29, 1944 in Waterloo. Vivian is survived by two sons, Rick (Jan) Luther and Tim Luther; grandchildren, Kim (Kyle) Rogge-Fite, Melissa Luther and Matt Luther; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Rogge and Alex Fite. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; her parents; two grandsons, Troy Luther and Lee Walcott; and two sisters. A Prayer Service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Monona, at 6 p.m., on Thursday, June 19, 2014, with Pastor Pat Siegler presiding. A private burial will be held at Washington Cemetery on Friday, June 20, 2014. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of person’s choosing. A special thank you to the staff at Karmenta Nursing Home for the care they provided for Mom.
