Dorothy Johnson

Johnson, Dorothy MADISON-Dorothy Johnson, age 89, formerly of Madison, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014, in Greenfield, Wis. She was born on Dec. 11, 1924, in LaCrosse, the daughter of John and Renee (Crepon) Johnson. She married Burt Johnson on Feb. 7, 1975, in Madison, at Lakeview Lutheran Church. Dorothy will be remembered as a charitable person. She volunteered many hours of her time, helping the Order of the Eastern Star and St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. She was a devout member of Order of the Eastern Star, attaining the rank of Worthy Matron. Dorothy is survived by her brother, Richard (Kathleen) Johnson of Fox Point, Wis.; nephews, Leonard (Kay) Johnson of Racine and Richard Jr. (Diane) Johnson of Houston, Texas; son, William Hippe; and daughter, Minette Bollig. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Roy and Leonard Johnson; and a sister, Marie Burbank. Funeral Services will be held at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 5700 Pheasant Hill Rd., Monona, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2014. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 12:15 p.m. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
