Obituary

Gyuricsek, Steven John MADISON-Steven John Gyuricsek, age 56, of Orlando Fla., passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on May 10, 1958, in Madison, the son of William and Elaine (Knutson) Gyuricsek. Steven was a 1976 graduate of La Follette High School. He was a very outgoing person that had many friends who will miss him dearly. Steven is survived by his parents; his son, Joseph Gyuricsek; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Libby Knutson. A private celebration of Steven’s life will be held at a later date. VACATION IN WISCONSIN: “Vacation in Wisconsin, The state with all the cheese, the people there are friendly, grow hay and corn and peas, the sheep are in the meadow, the cows are in the corn. You’ll find lots of mosquitoes, when the weather’s warm. We have the Green Bay Packers, and lots of other sports. The breweries make some real good beer, you drink it by the quarts. And then there are the Badgers, a rousing football team. Camp Randall is where they play, the field is nice and green. In winter we have lots of snow, it makes the hillside white, and you can see the wild life play, morning, noon and night. We have a lot of gambling, and banks galore to rob. Policeman are abundant, know how to do their job. I like the many cultures, that live within our state. The land of opportunity, we really are first rate. For fishing, hunting, rafting, you can come and have some fun. Casinos are still open, when the day is done. In summer you should see the Dells, and use your water skis. Drink chocolate milk from the cows, and juice from cranberries. Bring your family to enjoy, Wisconsin with your eye. You will remember us as this, the state where eagles fly.” By Elaine Gyuricsek Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care 5203 Monona Drive (608)221-5420

Steve was a wonderful friend that took care of a lot of us gals in High School. He loaded us up in the Suburban and gave us a lift to numerous high school events including Friday night football games to Janesville, Beloit, Kenosha etc. and just about any other place we wanted to go. We packed in to go to the Drive Inn a few times too. Steve will always be in my, and many other classmates memories. He was kind, funny, caring, giving, and there when you needed him . That cannot be said for just anyone. He left an imprint on our hearts that will last forever. I'm sorry you have lost a great son and father. I feel privileged to be lucky enough to have reconnected with Steve this last May (and meet his son Joe) on his last birthday with a few close friends that loved him as much as I did. Rest In Peace my Friend. Linda Hoel Jones

We are very sorry for your loss. Steve was and still is a kind, happy, caring outgoing individual. We watched football games with him, spent a few days in Las Vegas together, had drinks together and many cookouts (Awesome cook)!!! May he rest in peace and may your family stay strong for one another. Love Annie & Al

Never knew Steven but know Bill well. Bill and Elaine, your journey goes on. I know that you will "keep on trucking" as you always have, hard as it may be after the loss of a child. Not supposed to happen that way. Steve was lucky to have you as parents. I am sure you brought poetry and fun into his life. My thoughts are with you. Cal Bruce, MD
