Obituary

CROSS PLAINS/ASHTON-God decided it was time for a new angel as Elaine Helen (Brunner) Meinholz, age 55, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014. She was born on March 21, 1959, in Madison, the daughter of Henry and Beatrice (Niesen) Brunner. Elaine was everything a mother is supposed to be. She was there to pick you up when you fell. She was there to be a shoulder to cry on. She supported her boys in any way she could. Elaine was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, trips to Ho-Chunk, but most important of all to her was spending time with her family and friends. Elaine is survived by her sons, Matt (Amanda) Meinholz, Travis Meinholz, Alex Meinholz, and Nick Meinholz; grandchildren, Hudson and Logan Meinholz; brothers and sisters, Phyllis (Jim) Schwartz, Richard (fiancé, Debby Taschler) Brunner, Joanne (Louie) Meinholz, Karen Reisinger, Paul (Susan) Brunner, Vince (Karen) Brunner, Kathryn Glynn, and Gary (Kris) Brunner; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Bernard Reisinger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Elaine at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains, at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014, as well as from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday. So many memories, and so many fun times.....where does one even start. Elaine was a special lady with a heart of gold! No matter what her own needs might have been, she always went out of her way to make sure that others around her were cared for and attended to. She'll be remembered for many things, and each of us who knew her will have our own list. What I will remember most about Elaine is her love for her family! May God's embrace comfort all of you at this time, and in all the days ahead. With Love and Prayers, -Lori Ferguson

I will remember Elaine by her love for her sons, her daughter -in-law and her grandsons. She was so proud of them all. She sure loved to spoil her grandsons and they loved spending time with her. She always lit up anytime I saw her with her family. She is now is a wonderful place. She will be missed tremendously. Rest in peace Elaine .
