Michael Allen Bullock

BULLOCK, MICHAEL A. MADISON-Michael A. Bullock, age 68, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014, at his home. He was dealing with many health issues, though the timing of his passing was unexpected. He was born on Sept. 1, 1945, in Milwaukee, the son of Lawrence and Tillie Bullock. He married his best friend and the love of his life Joni Tesmer on Feb. 18, 1967, in Colby, Wis. Mike was a lifelong electrician and an active member of the IBEW Local No. 159. To say Mike had a passion for politics and news is an understatement, and he was willing to educate anyone, whether they wanted to hear it or not. He was curious about everything and was constantly broadening his mind and exploring every aspect of life. Mike enjoyed his projects, staying busy with building, repairing, and creating, passing his expertise and knowledge to so many that loved and admired him. He loved music, reading, gardening, camping, and was an avid fan of the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. Most important in Mike's life was his family which included his wife, Joni; daughters, Kim Shattuck and Amy Bullock; granddaughters, Kayla and Julia; great-granddaughter, Corra; brother, Richard; sisters, Joan and Pam (Peter); and his beloved dogs, Jake and Abby. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Rd., Fitchburg, at 3 p.m., on Friday, May 16, 2014. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
