Thomas Leo Pflieger

Pflieger, Thomas MADISON/HUMBIRD-Thomas Pflieger, age 79, of Madison, passed away on May, 5, 2014, at Waunakee Manor. He was born on Dec. 8, 1934, in Black River Falls, the son of Joseph and Freida (Mckenzie) Pflieger. He married Barbara Kaukl on Nov. 23, 1974, in Madison. Tom served in the U.S. Army on active duty. He attended UW-Eau Claire and retired from Oscar Mayer after 32 years. Tom was an avid Packers and Badgers fan. He was a loving husband, father and papa. Tom is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Hans (Lacy Griffith) Pflieger; granddaughters, Mackenzie and Lilian; and sisters, Florence Wilson, Jeannette Pflieger and Maureen Lane. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Marie, Theresa, Dorothy, Blanche, Rosalee, Joseph Jr., Edward and James. A Celebration of Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 12 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
