Obituary
HELLENBRAND, NANCY
LODI-Nancy Hellenbrand, the love of Roman’s life, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Lodi Good Samaritan Society surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born October 18, 1938 to Reginald and Mareta McIntyre.
Nancy Married Roman Hellenbrand on February 9, 1957 and just celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. Nancy was a member of the Blessed Trinity Catholic Parish, delivered meals on wheels and loved driving school bus for the Lodi School District. Nancy took great pride in raising her six children on the family farm. Being a farmer’s wife had its challenges but Nancy always made things better with her sense of humor and confidence that everything would turn out alright. Nancy was a rock that always stood by her man. Nancy enjoyed growing and tending to her flowers and plants that grew around the house. She also enjoyed taking rides on the all-terrain vehicle with Roman to “the top of the hill”. Nancy enjoyed spending time with family and friends under the “Veranda” overlooking the farm, watching the alpacas. Nancy will be missed dearly.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Roman; children, Karen (Keith Kurt), Jeanne (Charles Fuchs), Monica (Roger Brereton), Jim (Jan Clingman) and Richard Hellenbrand; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou (Eloi) Schmitt; brothers, Dick (Audrey) McIntyre and Bill (Kathy Elver) McIntyre; aunt, Arlene Shew; special aunt Gloria Koch; sister-in-laws, Arlene Michels, Catherine Hochstein, Shirley Lawson, Vera (Renny) Hendrickson and Viola (Don) Bohler; brother-in-law, Bob (Lois)Hellenbrand. Nancy is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss her very much.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; son, John; sister, Patsy Dorn; grandson Travis Kurt and brother, John.

Even as Nancy's health failed, her sense of humor remained intact! She could always be counted on for a good laugh.......and to the delight of his sisters, we loved it when she had a zinger for Roman! We were blessed to have her in our family and will miss her.
