MADISON- Our angel, Ashley Ann DiPiazza, age 26, of Madison, died Sunday, May 18, 2014, from injuries sustained during a shooting in Madison. She was born to Joseph M. DiPiazza and Michelle Dubey, on May 10, 1988, in Madison. Ashley was the light of everyone’s life and had a heart of gold. She was smart, beautiful and was always willing to help others. An amazingly funny and charismatic person, Ashley was loved by everyone she touched. She is survived by her father, Joseph M. DiPiazza; mother, Michelle Dubey, who just passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014; stepmother, Tami DiPiazza; brother, Brandon Smith; stepsister, Amanda Abplanalp; grandparents; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; along with her beloved cat, Oliver. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at Noon, on Saturday, May 24, 2014. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014 and also from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Joe, Tami, Amanda and family...I am sooo deeply sadened for your loss. There are no words to help ease your pain or even explain what just happened. I have recently learned that when one breathes their last breath here in our pysical world, they immediately take their next one in the most gloriously beautiful, happy and incredible place. I hope that you find comfort in all the wonderful memories that you have of Ashley and know that she is in that incredible place. Ashley was beautiful, spirited and very loving. I was lucky to know her when she was younger and so full of life!
