Doris D. Paulson

Paulson, Doris (Morgan) COTTAGE GROVE-Doris (Morgan) Paulson, age 86, devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at the Kindred Hearts Memory Care in Cottage Grove. She was born on July 28, 1927, in LaFarge, Wis., the daughter of William and Thelma Morgan. While living in Madison, Doris met and married LaVerne Paulson. They were united in marriage on Feb. 9, 1946. Doris worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for many years, finally retiring from the March of Dimes. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, dancing and putting together a good puzzle. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family and grandchildren. Doris is survived by her daughter, Linda McNelly; her grandchildren, Megan (Tyler) Kaech of Cottage Grove and Shannon McNelly of Chicago, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Mason and Kylie Kaech; sister, June Anderson; and brother, Floyd Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband, LaVerne; her parents; and three brothers. Private family services will be held at the Billings Creek Cemetery in Ontario, Wis. at a later date.
