Obituary

MADISON- Carolyn (Fuller) Young, age 80, of Madison, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014, quietly into the loving arms of the Lord. She was born on Dec. 15, 1933, in Cicero, Ind., the daughter of William and Golda (Trueblood) Fuller. Carolyn married Allan Young on June 4, 1952, in Rhinelander. They were lifelong members of the Madison Seventh Day Adventist Church. Carolyn was an avid reader, as well as enjoyed traveling with Allan, Judy and Clayton, especially to Branson. She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Kullavanijaya and Brenda (Jack) Paulsen; four grandsons, Ryan and Eric Kullavanijaya and Randall and Heath Paulsen; one great-grandson, Alexander Paulsen; and sisters, Betty Logue and Mabel (Clark) Kelley. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 61 years, Allan; and a son, Randy Young. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11:30 a.m., on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, with Pastor Titus Naftanaila presiding. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. I enjoyed being pen pals with Carolyn (when she was well enough to write) over the past couple of years. In her letters, her love for her family was always foremost. She also wrote of sharing her faith and beliefs with others. She always had a smile and a kind greeting for me at church. I will miss her.
