Obituary

BROOKFIELD/MIDDLETON- John A. Rosecky, age 76, of Brookfield, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital. He was born on Feb. 11, 1938, in Boscobel, the son of Anthony and Bertha (Kinzler) Rosecky. John married Dorothy Wiora on Nov. 10, 1962, in New Lisbon at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. He was a mail carrier for 42 years around the Madison area. John was a member of Knights of Columbus Council # 4527. He enjoyed spending his time exercising, which included water aerobics, bicycling and walking. John and Dorothy enjoyed their years at Yogi and also wintering in Donna, Texas where many friendships formed. He was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan and an avid bowler, hunter and golfer. John is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dorothy; a son, Dave (Marcia); grandson and his little buddy, Fletcher; and three sisters-in-law, Lorraine Naglich, Helen Wiora and Marge Rosecky. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane; his parents; a brother, Francis; a sister, Mary Dolohanty; and brothers-in-law, Tom Dolohanty, Richard Wiora and John Naglich; and sister-in-law Elaine Wiora. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Avenue, Middleton, at Noon, on Thursday, April 24, 3014 with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Burial will be held at St. Bernard’s Cemetery with military rites being conducted. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. I'm sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed working with John at Weaver auto parts. He was great with the customers and was always willing to work Evan on his day off. I also enjoyed the grapefruit that he brought us back from Texas. God bless. Sincerely John Hill
