Obituary

VOSEN, DANIEL R. “Boone” MIDDLETON-Daniel R. “Boone” Vosen, age 53, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on Jan. 8, 1961, in Madison, the son of Delven and Mary Jane (Ziegler) Vosen. Dan graduated from Middleton High School. He worked for ten years in construction and bridge repair. He then worked for eight years in Oklahoma as maintenance supervisor at a nursing home. For the last 15 years he worked with Middleton Cross Plains School District. Dan loved working on motors and small wood projects. Anything that didn’t work, Dan, could fix. Dan is survived by his mother, Mary Jane, his sisters, Linda (Chris) Schenk and Beverly (Tom) Scheuerell; brother, John Vosen and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Delven, his sister, Barbara and his brother, Bill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Avenue, Middleton, at Noon on Friday, April 25, 2014 with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. A special thank you to Father Doug, Father Bekala, and Adrian as well as the caring staff at Agrace. The family also thanks all of Dan’s wonderful co-workers, friends and students at Sunset Ridge and Kromrey. Memorials in Dan’s name may be made to Agrace or St. Jude’s Children Hospital in Memphis. My sympathy to Mary, with whom I worked, many years ago, delivering newspapers at Ryder. I suspect it is heartbreaking to lose a son, at such a young age, and I am sorry to read of this additional loss to your family.

I haven't seen Boone in years. He was a great friend to Sam and myself. We spent alot of time together when we were younger. I remember riding in his camero and the laughs we all had. We were quite a tight bunch in those days. I still think of him from time to time especially when looking at photos. He will be missed. Stacey Clanton Hopson
